This weeks interview is with Sarah Tucker (@homeonthemeadow)

Hampshire life, just 20 minutes from Winchester Sarah, her husband, three children & little dog Daisy currently live in their 3rd home a traditional country style new build nestled in the countryside - Sarah describes this home as their ‘forever home’

“What makes our house a home, is that our space has to feel welcoming & feel authentic. It’s our sanctuary! We adore the neutral & seasonal elements in each and every room, especially as we are nestled within the countryside. Our home is surrounded by the simple possessions that make us smile & decorated with our favourite things.” - Sarah

Where do you find your inspiration?

I absolutely love styling up our home & I love interior design! It’s something I’ve enjoyed since I was a little girl, rearranging my bedroom every time I got bored with how it looked!

My inspiration is definitely @lydiamillen home! I absolutely adore how she styles each and every room within her beautiful home! The textures, colours, rustic or antique furniture & accessories that she chooses is beautiful & I’m literally obsessed!

Your favourite home purchase?

My favourite home purchase is very obvious to me….and that is our bed! The one item I look forward to climbing into each and every evening or the perfect lay in on a lazy Sunday morning! Whether that’s watching a good film or catching up on our favourite tv series with a cuppa, it’s the perfect place to snuggle up & feel cosy in.

Where did you first hear about Alterme Home?

I first came across Alterme home a few years back when I stumbled across their instagram page! It quite literally is a showstopper for cushions! I adore each and every pattern and all would fit perfectly within our home! My favourite so far has to be the ‘Rosie’ cushion as I adored the pretty fern pattern & it looked stunning on our sofa.

Just for fun… we asked Sarah if she was a cushion from our range which one would she be?

Lastly, if I had to be a cushion, well that’s very obvious to me as it has to be the ‘Florence’ cushion, part of Alterme home new collection. Not only is it the same names as the same name as my late grandma, but also it’s absolutely beautiful and in fact I’m going to order one for my kitchen for a Spring refresh!!

It’s been lovely to interview Sarah, and so wonderful that her love for interiors stems from childhood. Her home & area she lives in sound idyllic; it’s no wonder she and her family call this their forever home. Sarah’s styling is exceptional and she has a real eye for styling - but keeping it homely!
