Make Your Own Valentines Inspired Napkins!

a simple cost effective way to make your own valentines day inspired napkins
DIY love heart napkins - or get creative with any shape you’d like! All you will need is a napkin (I’ve used our ‘Nigella Midnight’) a fabric pen, a needle and some thick thread - these can be bought from somewhere like hobby craft for a £1 or £2! TOP TIP embroidery threads are often available in charity shops!
Start off by drawing your shape, then thread your needle and begin sewing! Start from the back of the napkin and bring the thread through to the front, follow the line that you’ve drawn weaving front to back taking care to keep the weaving as close as possible, once you’ve got back to where you started tie the two ends of thread together at the back (loosely as you may want to remove this in future) - ET VOILA! If you make a mistake you can simply pull the thread back out and start again, and if you want to return your napkin back to it’s former self, simply cut and pull the thread out!
TOP TIP if you use a linen napkin there should be little to no marks left as linen has a naturally wider weave with pulls and slubs and will hide this well!
