an interview with you ;

This weeks interview is with Chloe Rose Litras @allchloerose & @allchloehome

Surrounded by peaceful countryside, yet still handily accessible too London, Chloe, her husband Chris and super cute pup Bailey have fallen in love with life in Hertfordshire.

Finding their dream first home took time, in search of an older property, a project home which was in need of a little renovation whilst being liveable, so when this beautiful grade || listed property with a wealth of georgian characteristics became available they knew it was the one.

Chloe’s English country heritage style extends to her enviable wardrobe, as well as throughout her home.

Chloe & Chris celebrated their first Christmas as a married couple - we just love this family photo with Bailey!

“…as soon as I saw it I knew it hit all these points along with the area it was located and soon become our dream first home.”- Chloe on finding her dream home (below)

Finding inspiration from her favourite interior designers, Chloe notes that her home style really leans into the beauty of English country heritage - which pairs wonderfully with the age of the property and its surroundings.
Taking a look through Chloe’s home Instagram it is clear to see the sympathetic renovations, in keeping with the homes period style with modern elegance and heritage accents.

We asked Chloe what she feels makes a house a home;

“The personal touches of injecting your own style especially through those finishing cosy layers."

It was such a pleasure to make this bench seat and matching blind for Chloe’s home - we think the fabric choice perfectly compliments the décor of this calming living space.

We all have that one space within our home which we feel most comfortable. Whether it be the décor choices, the way it makes us feel or simply that the space has been fully transformed to exactly how you want it. Chloe shares that her favourite space is the main living area;

"My favourite current room in the house is the main living space. As this is the one room we have completed renovating, its  where we spend the most time either cosying up in front of the fire, reading a book with my morning coffee on the armchair or for hosting our friends and family.”

It's always inspiring to learn more about the individuals and their homes behind the Instagram accounts we follow. Therefore, we posed the following questions to Chloe to delve deeper into her likes, dislikes, and décor faux pas!

Your favourite home purchase?

 I love anything reclaimed or vintage mixed with new. So our reclaimed sideboard in the living room was such a great find which will forever be staple piece of furniture in our home and reflect my interior style.

Worst home decision / purchase?

I regretted rushing into furniture purchases at the start as I found my style evolved. I outgrew some of these decisions especially before having a very neutral colour palette as I now like to inject colour into the home with more earthy calming tones which can be found through the colours on the walls or soft furnishing to add more depth and texture to the home.

Chloe’s favourite piece(s) from our collection?

I have many pieces ft. within my home from Alterme such as cushions and blinds along with my new favourite which is my custom seat bench cushion in our new mudroom as the textiles have tied in the colours of the room beautifully.

We have been so honoured that Chloe has chosen us to sew and make lots of her finishing touches within her home. The fabrics Chloe has chosen from our collection work so well with her style and home aesthetic and after creating the tweed bench seat for Chloe’s new mudroom we must admit it’s making us want to create one for ourselves…

It was an absolutely pleasure to interview Chloe about all things interiors, we have followed Chloe’s vlogging journey from the beginning and it has been so wonderful to watch her turn this new house into a home!

We hope that you enjoyed reading and the small insight into Chloe, Chris and their adorable little dog Bailey’s home, make sure you follow along for the rest of the renovations over on @allchloehome.
