This weeks interview is with Ella Billig ( @ellascottage )
Norfolk residing Ella, fiancé Max & very cute cocker spaniel puppy Winston’s home is a beautiful 1870’s cottage.
“what makes my home a home is the fact that it’s not just a perfectly laid out, untouched home, it’s one that’s lived in. Often, it’s quite nice to see the cushions ruffled, the beds unmade and the puppy on the sofa as without those things it is just a house!” - Ella
Where do you find your inspiration?
Al my inspiration has been through other home accounts on Instagram, I’ve never had Pinterest or any other social media platforms, I would find a lot of inspiration through my explore pages and searching through the comments from people asking where ‘such and such’ is from and then either finding similar alternatives or the same!
Your favourite home purchase?
My favourite home purchase has to be my outdoor furniture for the courtyard - there’s nothing better than when the warm weather arrives, sitting out there in the morning with a cup of coffee and listening to the birds.
Worst home decision / purchase?
Worst home purchase has probably been something I’ve already got rid of; a set of cushions I purchased after Christmas, I sat them on the sofa in the shop and decided I liked them, brought them home and removed all the labels to then decide after walking passsed them a million times that they just weren’t right !
How did you first hear about Alterme Home?
Through the one and only Instagram, my country cottage works perfectly with so many of the fabrics, in fact I think that all of my cushions that are on show in my house are from Alterme Home!

Cocker Puppy Winston
Ella & Max share their home with Winston, a very cute cocker spaniel puppy - we LOVE doggies here & Winston reminds us of our own little Spaniel Buddy!
